This week (The Last Full Week) we have been doing Google Santa Tracker. Google Santa Tracker is a site where you can play games like snowball storm (Where you have a snowball fight) Wrap Battle (Where you use arrow keys to make music) and other things. It's a fun activity we play when we have finished work early. Another exciting thing is the fact that I have a week left of school. My last day EVER at primary school is Wednesday the 16th. Anyways, I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

This year, as always we are having the summer learning journey. We had a teaser that we did where we used Google Art Coloring Book to make ART. I made a watermelon painting. Here it is!

Intermediate Visit

Today, Friday 27th, some of the year 6's went to Waikowhai Intermediate. We had to meet at the intermediate at 9:00. We went so we could do 'Meet the teacher'. We waited in the hall and the teachers called out who's in they're class. I'm in Rm 12. My teacher's name is Mrs. Power, and she's really nice. We got these forms that we filled out. We had questions like 'Draw your "Default" doodle' and 'What job would you least like'. The Yr 8 Councillors took photos of us for our teacher. We got some notices, and then walked to school. Skateboarding At School! (Lessons)

 Skateboarding!

Hello everyone! Welcome back. Recently at school we have started skateboarding lessons. We had two teachers, Ben and Laurence.And no, his name ISN'T Lawrence.  We started off by learning what the parts of the skateboard were called. I managed to guess most of the things. There were the wheels, trucks, deck, and the grip tape. Then we learned how to stand on the deck. When you are pushing you have your front foot facing forward. When you put your back foot on the deck and twist your front foot so it's facing sideways. Then we split into groups to learn balance, Tic-Tack-ing, and carving. 

After all that we played 'What's Up Wolf?' where you skateboard until the 'Wolf' turns and looks at us. If he sees us moving we move back four steps. If he yells 'Dinnertime!' we skateboard as fast as we can to the end of the court. The first one to get to the end gets to be wolf next round. Here are some things I learnt: How to skateboard. How to carve. How to balance on a skateboard, and so on.The skate school is called Young Guns Skate School, By the way. We one lesson in the morning and one in the afternoon. Production! Jasmine & Aladdin (NOT a rehearsal this time)

 Production! Jasmine & Aladdin

Hello everyone, welcome back. Finally, we have had our production. Our production was called Jasmine and Aladdin, which is basically just a remastered Aladdin. 

In said production, I was the Genie. Instead of being blue, however, I was silver. 

The plot of the production: Basically there's this evil magician 'Omar'. Omar wants to gain control of the kingdom of Hasbah. When his plan of using magic fails, he tries to marry the princess, Jasmine. Meanwhile, Aladdin has befriended the Genie, and has made friends with Jasmine. Just before the wedding, Aladdin's cat 'Persia' steals Omar's staff and manages to trap Omar in the Genie lamp. In my opinion, this production was REALLY fun. I loved getting to hear the 'oohs' and 'aahs' from everyone when I 'appeared'. (I just ran onto the stage and hoped that no one noticed) I also loved getting to use mics and hearing myself on stage.

As you may know from my last post, my school is having a production. The production is 'Jasmine And Aladdin' which is a revamped version of 'Aladdin'. I am the Genie in our production. I have finally learnt my lines, and if you were wondering, we are going ahead with the production. Well, that is if we go into level 1 again... Anyways, we had a production rehearsal today during the middle block. 

I would like to hear who your favorite 'Jasmine And Aladdin' character is. Some of the changed characters are: Persia (Who I think is based of that monkey) Geewiz (I don't know where he came from, as I haven't watched the Original 'Aladdin'. And then there's 'Omar'.

Production Week 3! (Yeah, Again)

Production Week 3 (Rehearsals Again)

Hey Guys, Me Again. This week (Week 3) we have been doing MORE rehearsals. Expect me to write about this A LOT. Every Friday in the Middle Block (Between Morning Tea & Lunch) all the cast come together and the Deputy Principle, Mrs. McGrath,  Runs through the play with us. Today, we got to Scene 7 In one hour! That's a new record for the school! If you haven't read my last post, then here's the name of the play: Jasmine & Aladdin. It's a modified version of Aladdin, and the cast is completely different to the original. (That is apart from the Genie, Jasmine, And Aladdin) If you were wondering, I'm the Genie! I would write some of my lines like last time but I can't be bothered. Anyway, today was great and so was the rest of the week. Until Next Time, Ari...
