NOVEL STUDY
Hey Everyone! Welcome back to my blog!
In Term two, we did novel study! In our different reading groups we all had different novels. The novel my reading group, Maroon, got was called 'A Friend in Paradise' and it was about a boy named Robbie who had found a thought-to-be-extinct lizard, called a Kaweau. In the book, Robbie has to stop a man called Richardson, who is trying to capture kiwi's to make money.
My favorite part of the book is where Richardson takes Robbie on a fishing trip and they go to the volcano, where Richardson abandons Robbie and they both get severely burnt, as the volcano erupts.
I think that the book is fascinating, I suggest this book to everyone who is looking for a great adventure story! The theme of the book is determination, as Robbie stays determined to make sure Richardson stops capturing Kiwi's.
For our study, we did two sets of comprehension questions, and a character description of Robbie. Here's the screenshots, thanks for reading, Bye!
